ဣဒမေ၀ါစ ဘဂ၀ါ အတၱမနာ ပဥၥ၀ဂၢိယာ ဘိကၡဴ ဘဂ၀ေတာ ဘာသိတံ အဘိနႏၵဳံဣမသၼႎ စ ပန ေ၀ယ်ာကရဏသၼႎ ဘညမာေန ပဥၥ၀ဂၢိယာနံ ဘိကၡဴနံ အႏုပါဒါယ^(၁) အာသေ၀ဟိ စိတၱာနိ ၀ိမုစၥႎ သူတ

ဤ အနတၱလကၡဏသုတ္ စကားေတာ္ကို ဘုန္းေတာ္ႀကီးေသာ ျမတ္စြာဘုရားသည္ အနတၱညဏ္ အျမင္သန္ေအာင္ ဏ္ေရာင္အလင္းဖြင့္၍ က်ဴးရင့္ေဟာၾကားေတာ္မူေပ၏။ ေကာ႑ညအမွဴး ငါးဦးအစုအေ၀း ရွိကုန္ေသာ ရဟန္း တို႔သည္ အနတၱညဏ္ ထက္သန္ပြင့္လင္း၀မ္းေျမာက္ျခင္း ရွိကုန္သည္ျဖစ္၍ ဘုန္းေတာ္ႀကီးေသာ ျမတ္စြာဘုရား၏ ေဟာၾကားေတာ္မူအပ္ေသာ အနတၱလကၡဏသုတ္ေတာ္ႀကီးကို ရႊင္လန္းအားရ ႏွစ္သက္ၾကေလကုန္သတည္း။ ဂါထာမဖက္ စုဏၰိယသက္သက္ျဖစ္ေသာ ဤအနတၱလကၡဏသုတ္ေတာ္ႀကီးကိုေဟာေတာ္မူအပ္သည္ရွိေသာ္ ေကာ႑ည အမွဴး ငါးဦးအစုအေ၀းရွိကုန္ေသာ ရဟန္းတို႔အား ႐ုပ္နာမ္ခႏၶာတို႔၌ သာယာစြဲၿငိျခင္းမရွိဘဲ စီးသြန္က်ေလွ်ာ အာသေ၀ါ^(၂) တို႔မွ စိတ္တို႔သည္ ကြၽတ္လြတ္ၾကေလကုန္သတည္း။

၁။ အႏုပါဒါယ = အာ႐ံု၌မစြဲလမ္းမူ၍၊ တဏွာဒိ႒ိတို႔ျဖင့္ မစြဲလမ္းမူ၍
Anupādāya - Not clinging; free from attachment to the world.

၂။ အာသေ၀ါ(အာသ၀ႏွင့္အတူတူ)ရွည္ျမင့္စြာထံုအပ္ေသာ မုဒရက္အမာမွယိုစီးေသာ ေသြးျပည္ကဲ့သို႔ေသာ
သေဘာတရား။
"လွ်ံစီးပို႔လ်က္၊ ျမစ္သို႔လေဘာ၊ အာသေ၀ါကား၊ က်ေလွ်ာဖ်ားေရ"
- ပါရမီေတာ္ခဏ္းပ်ဳိ႕၊ သွ်င္မဟာသီလ၀ံသ (၈၅၃ ခု)
"ေထာင္သဃၤာတို႔ ေလးအာသေ၀ါ ေရ နယ္ ေလွ်ာ၍"
- နာရဒပ်ဳိ႕၊ မံုေရြးဆရာေတာ္ (၁၁၈၃ ခု)
"ဆြမ္းရသမွ်၊ ေဆာင္ၿပီးမွလွ်င္၊ အာသ၀ယိုဖိတ္၊ တပ္ေသာစိတ္ျဖင့္"
- ကုသပ်ဳိ႕၊ မံုေရြးဆရာေတာ္ (၁၁၈၉ ခု)
"လႊမ္းဖံုးအာသ၀၊ ၾကြင္းသမွ်ကို၊ ခယညဏ္ျမတ္၊ စင္ေအာင္ျဖတ္လ်က္"
- ဓမၼရာသီပ်ဳိ႕၊ သွ်င္ကုမာရကႆပ
(ဒဂုန္ဦးထြန္းျမင့္၊ ပါဠိသက္ေ၀ါဟာရအဘိဓာန္)
"ေလးတန္ၾသဃ၊ အာသ၀ႏွင့္၊ ေယာဂ ဂႏၴ၊ ေလး၀ဥပါဒါန္"
- အစိေႏၲယ် ဘုရားရွိခိုး၊ က်ီးသဲေလးထပ္ဆရာေတာ္

This is what the Bhagavā had said and the group of five Bhikkhus were delighted and rejoiced at, what the Bhagavā had said.

Moreover, when this explanation had been spoken the minds of five Bhikkhus were freed from the Ăsava¹ without clinging.

အနတၱလကၡဏသုတၱံ နိ႒ိတံ

အနတၱလကၡဏသုတ္သည္ ၿပီး၏။

1. Ăsava =အာသ၀ယိုစီးျခင္း၊ အာသေ၀ါတရား

- Sensuality, lust for renewed life, delusion, that which flows, ideas which intoxicate the mind.

The four Ăsavas are:-

Kāmāsava - sensual pleasure

Bhavāsava - The love of existence, lust of life (rebirth)

Diththhāsava - heresy, speculation

Avijjāsava - ignorance

Freedom from the Ăsavas

constitutes Arahantship and the fight for the extinction of these Ăsavas forms one of the main duties of man.

Ăsavas is synonymous with Kilesa.
